DORIS BREUER is an Austrian artist (born 1974).
Her life’s journey is characterised by a deep connection to nature and a curiosity about the diversity of human existence. Together with her family and friends, she has made her home on a farm in the picturesque Mühlviertel region of Upper Austria. Her travels between 1992 and 2002 took her on a journey of discovery around the globe. In the process, she gathered not only memories, but
also inspiration, which she later incorporates into her art.
Since 2002, these impressions have found expression in her paintings and free-form objects. Her works, which have been presented in performances and exhibitions since 2005, explore the development and
strength of femininity. Breuer’s art unites reality and fantasy, with a focus on the diversity of human existence.
The artist reflects on the duality of transhumanism and holism and invites us to reflect on our relationship with technology and nature. Her works offer a space for exploring
new identities.
